A WOMAN has revealed how she created her own media wall after being quoted £1,600 for it.

Hannah Brown took to TikTok to show off the transformation and people were so impressed they said she should make it her full-time job.

In the short clip posted to her account @hannbrownx_, she penned: "When you get quoted £1,600 for a media wall, so you build it yourself on a budget."

The savvy DIYer managed to do it all for just £438, saving herself £1,162.

In the clip, Hannah documented how she built the media wall in her front room.

The money-saving woman first started by mapping out where she wanted the built-in media wall to go and where to place all the shelves.

Once done, she started to drill the frame into her wall using wooden timber that cost her £114.

The DIY fan then made the exact same frame 15 inches further from the wall, creating shelves to host an electric fireplace, her TV, and three shelves on either side to store decorations.

Hannah paid £50 to have her plug socket moved so she could plug her TV in and £23 for spotlights placed inside the shelves.

She first installed the fireplace and then began to board up the frame with sheets of plasterboard, which cost £70, to make it look like it was built into the wall.

Hannah finally paid a plasterer £150 to plaster over the media wall, then added a skirting board for £8, and painted it cream before adding her TV and £23 backlight.

In the comments, she revealed she managed to complete the project in five days using her free time after work after watching YouTube tutorials.

The video has since gone viral with over 310k views and over 9,000 likes.

People quickly took to the comments to praise the DIY whizz on her creation.

One person said: "Might as well start a business not bad."

Another commented: "You've done a cracking job well done."

"So much better when you do it yourself," penned a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth added: "Very impressive. Great job."

Someone else wrote: "Hannah can you do mine I’ll pay you?"
